Erin M. Welch, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist dedicated to the treatment of skin cancer, with an expertise in the prevention and treatment of skin aging. She is particularly interested in helping her patients protect their skin from environmental damage for optimal skin health. She is currently an assistant professor of dermatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, where she specializes in cosmetic and laser dermatology and dermatologic surgery.
Dr. Welch trained as a dermatologist in southern California at the University of California-Irvine, where she served as chief resident. She then joined the faculty of Yale University, where she received additional specialized training in lasers, and cosmetic and dermatologic surgery. Dr. Welch has served on the board of directors of the California Dermatology Society, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Women’s Dermatology Society, and the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. She has written several articles and book chapters in major scientific dermatology publications and is a frequent contributor to academic meetings in her specialty.
Dr. Welch is presently serving as an advisor to pHisoderm®, helping to communicate the importance of achieving a balanced complexion in keeping with today’s hectic, stressful lifestyles.
